In 2007, the smartphone world was taken by storm with the release of i-mate's JAMA device. Featuring Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC operating system, this phone combined functionality with a sleek design. Let's take a look at the features that made the JAMA such a success.
Size and Storage
The JAMA was incredibly lightweight for its time, weighing in at just 110g and measuring 15.6mm in thickness. Despite its slim build, it still managed to pack a punch when it came to storage. With 64MB RAM and a microSD slot, users had plenty of space to store their important files and documents.
Network and Connectivity
The JAMA operated on GSM technology, making it accessible to users all around the world. It supported GSM 900/1800 bands and boasted Class 10 GPRS capabilities. However, at the time of its release, it did not have EDGE capabilities.
