Design and Dimensions
The Sendo P200 may seem small and compact now, but back in 2001 it was considered a lightweight at only 98 grams and a thickness of 22 mm. With dimensions of 105 x 50 x 22 mm, the phone easily fit into your pocket or purse.
It came with a standard Mini-SIM card and had a user-changeable front housing, back housing, and keypad which allowed you to customize the look of your phone.
Display and Memory
The phone featured a monochrome graphic display with a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels, spread across 6 lines with a 3:2 aspect ratio. While it may not have been as fancy as the color displays we have today, it did the job well and even had soft keys for easy navigation.
In terms of memory, the Sendo P200 did not have a card slot for external storage. However, it did have a phonebook, call records, and also came with message templates and SMS smileys for added convenience.
Camera and Sound
Unlike modern smartphones, the Sendo P200 did not come with a camera. However, it did have the capability to download monophonic ringtones and even compose your own. The phone also had a vibration alert and a loudspeaker, so you wouldn’t miss any important calls.
Features and Battery
The Sendo P200 may have been a feature phone, but it had some impressive features for its time. It had a clock, an alarm, and even came with 4 pre-installed games - FlippIT, Quaddro, Scizzors, and Splash. Unfortunately, it did not have the capability to use Java applications or browse the internet.
The phone also had a removable Li-Ion battery which could last up to 170-360 hours on standby and 2.5-3.5 hours of talk time, depending on usage.
Availability
The Sendo P200 was announced in the third quarter of 2001 and was discontinued soon after. It was only available in 3 colors - Midnight Blue, Ink Blue, and Forest Green.
